Often, people want to make big leaps in their lives. They want to quit their jobs, start a business, or migrate to other countries. These are all admirable endeavors, but I don't think we should be focusing on them if we can't even take the small steps first.

The small steps involve understanding what it means to quit your job, building a brand and online presence without spending any money, and learning foreign languages in your free time. These actions cost little to no money and only take a few minutes out of your day, but they can have a significant impact on what you want to achieve in life.

Taking small steps allows us to improve and gain a better understanding of the big leaps we want to take in life. By making those small steps, we gain a better context for how the big leap will look. The better we get, the less scary and less risky the big leaps become. For example, learning a new language won’t make moving to a new country risk-free, but it will be one less thing to worry about.

If you want to quit your job, you need to fully understand why you want to do it. It takes small steps to recognize why you are frustrated with your current job and why you would want a new one. If you take the leap immediately and quit your job without understanding yourself, you might find yourself in the same situation, just in a different company.

Everyone wants to start a business, but not everyone knows how to. Proper planning can lead to a good outcome when starting a business. But it’s not just about that. There are small steps you can take to learn about the business, understand the niche you want to build in, and know the people you will cater to. You should take noncommittal small steps in building a business before you take the calculated risk and fully commit to it.

If you fully commit to something new every time without understanding all the variables, you will eventually get hurt.

I am a fan of taking big leaps in life, but I highly encourage people to take the small steps first. Become better day by day, and then make the leap.
